Qualifications

High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
1 or more years of proven experience as a Journeyman Millwright or Maintenance Mechanic.
Chemical manufacturing experience required; experience gained as a contractor or in a refinery is accepted.
Good knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
Ability to operate a scissor lift, boom lift, forklift, and telehandler.
Ability to perform shift work (days, afternoons, nights) with overtime, hold-overs, and call-outs as needed.
Ability to wear respiratory protective equipment (clean-shaven for proper fit) and protective eyewear.
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
Successful completion of all required training programs, including offsite training, and all required equipment certifications.
Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequent change.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of a formal millwright apprenticeship or three-year training program preferred.
