About the Role
The company is seeking an experienced Middleware Developer with at least 5 years of hands-on enterprise middleware and integration experience.
The role focuses on designing, developing, deploying, troubleshooting, and supporting reliable, scalable, and secure integration solutions.
The developer will collaborate with application teams, architects, business stakeholders, and infrastructure teams.
Location and Schedule
- The description states that the role is located in Oman.

Middleware Development
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain middleware integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise v13.
- Develop and maintain ACE message flows, integration services, and APIs.
- Develop integrations between applications, databases, APIs, and enterprise systems.
- Implement message transformation, routing, validation, enrichment, and error handling.
IBM MQ and Web Services
- Configure and manage MQ queues, channels, queue managers, listeners, and related messaging components.
- Develop and support REST- and SOAP-based integrations and web services.
- Work with JSON, XML, and other enterprise messaging formats.
- Troubleshoot MQ connectivity, messaging, and integration issues.
Deployment and Support
- Perform deployment, configuration, testing, and release activities across development, testing, and production environments.
- Monitor middleware components and resolve performance or availability issues.
- Participate in SIT, UAT, production deployment, and post-production support activities.
- Support automation, performance optimization, and middleware best practices.
Collaboration and Documentation
- Collaborate with solution architects and development teams to understand integration requirements and technical specifications.
- Follow enterprise security, coding, documentation, change-management, and deployment standards.
- Prepare technical documentation for integration flows, configurations, and operational procedures.
Required Technical Skills
- IBM App Connect Enterprise v13 experience is mandatory.
- IBM MQ 9.4 experience is mandatory.
- Required experience includes ACE message flows, integration patterns, message transformation, routing, exception handling, REST and SOAP integrations, and API or service integration.
- Required MQ experience includes queues, queue managers, channels, listeners, message handling, connectivity troubleshooting, security, availability, and performance considerations.
Additional Skills
- Additional skills include JSON, XML, SQL or database integration, Linux or Unix environments, enterprise application integration, production support, incident troubleshooting, version control, and deployment processes.
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices is advantageous.
- Experience in banking, financial services, telecom, or other large enterprise environments is advantageous.
Education and Experience
- At least 5 years of overall experience in middleware or enterprise integration is required.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder coordination, independent working, and cross-functional collaboration skills are sought.
