Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively to develop litigation strategy for the defense of general liability actions;
  • Draft and review pleadings and discovery, memos, briefs and other legal correspondence and litigation documents;
  • Represent clients in court;
  • Participate in depositions, conferences, hearings and all other aspects of general liability litigation;
  • Interact with medical experts;
  • Conduct legal and medical research and analysis;
  • Draft motions;
  • Work cooperatively with others; and
  • Interact with clients.

Education and Experience

  • Required
  • Admission to practice in New York;
  • At least 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or comparable experience;
  • Familiarity with New York Labor Law a plus.
  • Skills and Abilities Required
  • Strong legal research, writing and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to interact with clients and command client confidence;
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.

The anticipated pay range for this role is $120,000 - $175,000, which represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
