Microsoft Fabric Business Data Analyst

Role and location

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a data analyst or analytics support role.
• Proficiency in Power BI dashboard development, Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service, as well as Tableau dashboard development and server usage.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Dataflows Gen2, OneLake, Lakehouse/Warehouse concepts, and semantic models.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills; Python or another scripting language is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise BI environments, including report governance, access control, and platform security, is preferred.
• Familiarity with Alteryx workflows and migration of analytics and reporting solutions to Microsoft Fabric and Power BI is preferred.
• Experience with IT ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira is preferred.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, or Azure is preferred.
• Exposure to orchestration tools and distributed processing frameworks such as Apache Airflow, Spark, and Hadoop is preferred.
• Hands-on use of JupyterHub and Hue for SQL querying and data exploration is preferred.
• Experience with version control systems, including GitLab, is preferred.

Pay

• Pay is $42.00–$45.00 per hour.

Work location

• Work location is in person in Fountain Valley, California.

Responsibilities

• Develop dashboards and analytics using Power BI and Tableau.
• Support analytics and reporting solutions built on Microsoft Fabric, including its dataflows, OneLake, Lakehouse/Warehouse concepts, and semantic models.
• Support enterprise BI environments, including report governance, access control, and platform security.
• Support migration of analytics and reporting solutions to Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
