Role summary
Develop, customize, and technically support the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment.
Support a growing user base and evolving business requirements while ensuring platform continuity and shared technical ownership.
Responsibilities
- Advise implementation partners and offshore development teams; review estimates, designs, and deliverables.
- Contribute to Agile sprint planning, estimation, backlog refinement, and release management.
- Support UAT, hypercare, business-as-usual transition, knowledge transfer, and documentation.
- Maintain controls for segregation of duties, permissions, environment access, change control, and audit evidence.
- Ensure extensions, integrations, and Power Platform solutions meet cybersecurity, governance, audit, and data protection requirements.
- Work with Cyber Security to embed security-by-design across the solution lifecycle.
Experience and essential qualifications
- At least seven years of Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central experience, including three full-lifecycle implementations in a senior technical role.
- Strong AL development, extension architecture, Business Central application-model, and functional process knowledge.
- Experience with complex REST/OData integrations, Azure integration services, and middleware.
- Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction deployments and statutory localization.
- Practical Azure experience, including Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, storage, monitoring, and integration.
- Hands-on Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI experience.
- Experience with source control, CI/CD pipelines, and structured Business Central release management.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Skills and desirable experience
- Clear written and spoken English and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences are required.
- RDLC report design, Business Central financial reporting, SQL, AL, Power Automate, .NET, and API development are listed as skills.
- C/AL and upgrade experience are advantageous.
- Microsoft certifications such as MB-820, MB-800, PL-400, or PL-600 are nice to have.
- Commodities, mining, energy, trading, or other asset-intensive sector experience is nice to have.
- Portuguese or Spanish language skills are highly desirable.
