Position :- Merchandiser cum Cashier

Location :- Abu Dhabi

***Job Description :-***The Merchandiser cum Cashier is responsible for maintaining attractive product displays, ensuring proper stock levels, and handling customer transactions efficiently. The role combines merchandising duties with cashiering responsibilities to support smooth store operations and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities :

Merchandising Duties:

  • Arrange and display products according to company standards and promotions
  • Ensure shelves are fully stocked, clean, and well-organized
  • Monitor product expiry dates and remove damaged or expired items
  • Implement visual merchandising guidelines to attract customers
  • Conduct regular stock checks and report shortages to the supervisor
  • Assist in receiving, labeling, and storing new stock

Cashier Duties:

  • Handle cash, card, and digital payments accurately
  • Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as per company policy
  • Maintain cash register accuracy and balance at the end of each shift
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service at the checkout

Customer Service:

  • Greet and assist customers with product inquiries
  • Provide product information and promote ongoing offers
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate when required

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the store
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Support team members in daily store operations
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in retail, merchandising, or cashiering preferred
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
