Role Overview
Seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to oversee design, execution, commissioning, and handover of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for a large-scale Data Center project.
Responsible for ensuring MEP installations meet project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational reliability expected in mission-critical facilities.
Ideal candidate has extensive experience in Data Center, Hyperscale, Mission-Critical, Industrial, or Large Infrastructure Projects with strong expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, vendor management, commissioning, and stakeholder coordination.

Position Summary
Seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to oversee design, execution, commissioning, and handover of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for a large-scale Data Center project.
Responsible for ensuring MEP installations meet project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational reliability expected in mission-critical facilities.
Ideal candidate has extensive experience in Data Center, Hyperscale, Mission-Critical, Industrial, or Large Infrastructure Projects with strong expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, vendor management, commissioning, and stakeholder coordination.
Project Management
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of all MEP activities for the Data Center project.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, vendors, and client teams to achieve project milestones.
- Review project drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical submittals.
Mechanical Systems
- Oversee installation and commissioning of chillers and CRAH/CRAC units.
- Oversee cooling towers and pumping systems.
- Oversee HVAC distribution systems.
- Oversee fire suppression systems.
- Oversee fuel systems for DG sets.
- Oversee Building Management Systems (BMS).
Electrical Systems
- Manage execution and commissioning of High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems.
- Manage transformers and switchgear.
- Manage UPS systems.
- Manage generators and fuel storage systems.
- Manage Power Distribution Units (PDUs).
- Manage busways and critical power infrastructure.
- Manage earthing and lightning protection systems.
Plumbing & Fire Protection
- Ensure installation and testing of water supply and drainage systems.
- Ensure installation and testing of firefighting systems.
- Ensure installation and testing of detection and suppression systems.
- Ensure installation and testing of utility infrastructure supporting critical operations.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and contractors.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and progress reporting.
- Resolve technical issues and escalate critical risks as required.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure compliance with project QA/QC procedures.
- Drive EHS compliance and promote a zero-harm culture.
- Monitor inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards including Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, and local regulations.
Commissioning & Handover
- Lead Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
- Support Level 1-5 commissioning activities.
- Coordinate snag closure and final project handover.
- Review O&M manuals, training, and as-built documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
- Master's Degree is an added advantage.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED, CDCP, ATD, or equivalent are preferred.
