The employer seeks an MEP Engineer with at least five years of relevant UAE construction experience to supervise and coordinate MEP works at project sites.
The role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems, as well as load schedules, procurement, site coordination, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise MEP works across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems; review drawings, material submittals, and specifications.
- Calculate electrical load schedules; identify material needs, prepare requisitions, and coordinate procurement.
- Coordinate MEP activities with civil, architectural, and other project teams; monitor site progress against approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Coordinate inspections and approvals with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defence, and other applicable authority requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and oversee installation quality; prepare progress reports, inspection requests, material requests, and project documentation.
- Resolve technical and site coordination issues; monitor materials, manpower, and subcontractor performance; attend meetings and update the Project Manager.
- Supervise testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover; ensure compliance with safety procedures and approved method statements.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least five years of relevant MEP construction experience are required.
- UAE construction industry experience is preferred.
- A valid UAE driving licence is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems is required.
- Experience with electrical load schedule calculations, material take-offs, material requisitions, and site material procurement is required.
