Role Description
The MEP Manager will oversee Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of RAKIS-related projects, ensuring that all technical systems are well-coordinated, compliant, and aligned with project objectives.
This part-time, remote role involves managing MEP design reviews, coordinating with design consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders, and providing technical guidance during planning and execution phases.
The MEP Manager will support procurement decisions related to MEP materials and services, review technical submittals, and help optimize designs for efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
The role also includes troubleshooting MEP issues, preparing concise progress reports, and contributing to the development of standards and best practices for event and infrastructure projects associated with the summit.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including MEP Design for event venues, infrastructure, and related facilities.
- Demonstrated experience in MEP Coordination across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment between architectural, structural, and MEP requirements.
- Hands-on knowledge of Plumbing systems, standards, and integration within overall MEP frameworks.
- Experience in Procurement of MEP materials and services, including vendor evaluation, sourcing, and cost optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications in MEP or project management are an advantage.
- Proven experience managing MEP scope on complex projects, preferably within events, hospitality, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting, with strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, basic proficiency in MEP design/review software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar), and a focus on safety, quality, and sustainability.
