Role Description
The MEP/Facility Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within assigned facilities.
This role includes planning and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance activities, coordinating with technicians and service providers, and ensuring work is executed safely, on time, and in line with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
The MEP/Facility Supervisor monitors equipment performance, identifies recurring issues, and recommends improvements to enhance reliability, energy efficiency, and overall facility performance.
The role involves preparing and updating maintenance logs, inspection reports, and documentation, as well as assisting with budgeting, spare parts management, and compliance audits.
Regular communication with clients, internal stakeholders, and vendors is required to address service requests, manage expectations, and support continuous improvement of facility operations.
Qualifications
- Strong facility management capabilities, including Facility Management (FM) and Facilities Operations skills, with experience overseeing complex building systems and services.
- Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance, including preventive and corrective maintenance practices for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Demonstrated Supervisory Skills, with experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams and managing contractors or service providers.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear reporting, coordination with stakeholders, and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant certifications in facility management, MEP systems, or health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, FM certifications) are an advantage.
- Working knowledge of building management systems (BMS), CAFM tools, and industry standards applicable to MEP and facility operations.
- Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and respond to emergencies or critical issues outside regular hours when required.
