Role overview

Estimation and costing

• Review MEP drawings, specifications, BOQs, tender documents, and project requirements.
• Prepare estimates and quantity take-offs for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire fighting, fire alarm, and related works.
• Identify materials, equipment, labor, subcontractor work, and other MEP execution needs.
• Prepare quantity breakdowns and identify scope exclusions and assumptions.
• Estimate G+1 villas, warehouses, and other residential or commercial buildings.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, cost components, market prices, and tender prices.
• Prepare tender comparisons, costing summaries, RFQs, clarifications, and commercial submissions.
• Review tender addendums, revised drawings, and scope changes and update estimates.

Coordination and commercial support

• Coordinate with architects, civil and structural engineers, MEP engineers, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Identify drawing discrepancies and assess alternative materials, systems, and technical solutions from a cost perspective.
• Support project budgets, procurement, variation estimates, subcontractor claim evaluation, and estimate handover.
• Maintain records of estimates, quotations, rate analysis, and supporting documents.

MEP systems covered

• Electrical scope includes LV systems, lighting and power, distribution boards, cabling, earthing, lightning protection, external lighting, and basic ELV.
• Mechanical scope includes split AC, VRF/VRV, HVAC equipment, ductwork, refrigerant piping, ventilation, exhaust, and applicable chilled water systems.
• Plumbing scope includes water supply, drainage, soil and waste piping, hot and cold water, tanks, pumps, sanitary fixtures, and external connections.

Qualifications and experience
