Role overview

Qualifications and skills

• A valid SEWA Consultancy / Engineer License is mandatory; candidates without it will not be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in electrical design, authority submissions, and site supervision within an engineering consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of SEWA regulations, Civil Defense requirements, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and IEC and NEC standards.
• Experience preparing and obtaining approvals for fire alarm and fire & life safety systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, electrical calculation software, and MS Office.
• Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review electrical systems including power, lighting, low current, fire alarm, emergency systems, and mechanical equipment connections.
• Prepare and submit design drawings, load schedules, single-line diagrams, and technical documents for authority approvals under the engineer’s license.
• Coordinate submissions, approvals, inspections, and NOCs with SEWA, Civil Defense, municipalities, and other authorities.
• Prepare compliant fire alarm and fire & life safety system designs.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards, and project requirements throughout project stages.
• Coordinate electrical and MEP systems with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, BOQs, and material submittals.
• Conduct site inspections and supervise electrical installations when required.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and authorities for project execution and approvals.
• Maintain records for submissions, approvals, inspections, and correspondence.
• Support tendering, technical evaluations, and project coordination when required.

Pay

• Pay is AED 6,000–9,000 per month.
