Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an MEP Draftsperson based in Abu Dhabi.
The MEP Draftsperson will prepare detailed CAD drawings and layouts for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
Daily tasks include reviewing design inputs, coordinating with engineers and project managers, updating drawings based on site conditions and design changes, and ensuring accurate documentation of revisions.
The role involves collaborating with construction and site teams to resolve technical drawing issues, supporting the preparation of shop drawings and as-built drawings, and maintaining organized drawing records.
The MEP Draftsperson will contribute to quality control by checking drawings for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong MEP drafting and design skills, including experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing layouts.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in CAD software and related drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar), with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations applicable to MEP works in the UAE.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and coordination skills for working with engineers, site teams, and project managers.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple drawing updates and deadlines.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field, with prior experience as an MEP Draftsperson in construction projects.
- Experience in UAE construction industry, particularly in MEP subcontracting or fit-out works, is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, adhere to safety standards, and contribute to quality-focused project delivery.
