Role Description
The MEP Coordinator will oversee and coordinate all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing activities for building construction projects, ensuring integration with architectural and structural works.
Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specifications, resolving technical issues, and coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to align MEP execution with project schedules and quality standards.
The role involves monitoring installation progress, conducting site inspections, supporting testing and commissioning, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, client requirements, and company procedures.
The MEP Coordinator will prepare and update method statements, material submittals, and progress reports, and support health, safety, and environmental practices on site.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong MEP coordination skills, including experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems in building construction projects.
- Candidates should possess technical skills in reading and interpreting drawings, preparing shop drawings, and using CAD/BIM tools and relevant MEP design software.
- Candidates should possess skills in project planning and control, including scheduling, progress tracking, and coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of applicable building codes, standards, and regulations, including MEP installation practices and safety requirements.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with consultants, subcontractors, and site staff.
- Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a related field, along with relevant MEP coordination experience in the UAE or GCC.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work on multiple projects under time and budget constraints.
