About the Job
This is a remote, project-based role for Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Quantitative professionals with 1–4 years of work experience.
You’ll complete work similar to what you’d do in deal advisory, quantitative research, or transaction services—using real-world MENA datasets to stress-test financial models, reconcile complex multi-document data rooms, and identify logic failures in high-stakes financial reporting.
Work is over the next 2–3 weeks, asynchronous, and assigned on a project-by-project basis, with an expected commitment of 10–20 hours per week for the projects you accept.

Responsibilities
- **Systematic Strategy & Audit:**
- Build and audit quantitative backtesters and valuation models (DCF, LBO, Sukuk waterfalls) that account for regional market constraints like T+2 settlement and liquidity.
- **Market Microstructure Analysis:**
- Identify "logic traps" where AI models ignore slippage, order-book depth, or execution latencies specific to regional exchanges (DFM/ADX).
- **Numerical Reconciliation:**
- Perform deep-dive due diligence on non-standard financial filings, identifying "silent failures" and contradictions within multi-document data rooms.
- **Regulatory & Sharia Logic:**
- Stress-test financial models against regional regulatory frameworks and Sharia-compliant standards (AAOIFI).
- **Expert Documentation:**
- Document methodologies, assumptions, and analytical choices clearly to identify where standardized global logic breaks in a regional context.
Required Qualifications
- **1–4 years of experience**
- in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Quantitative Research at a Tier-1 regional or global firm (e.g., EFG Hermes, ENBD, Goldman Sachs, ADIA, Millennium).
- **Technical Proficiency:**
- Strong understanding of regional accounting standards, transaction services, or quantitative backtesting.
- **Domain Expertise:**
- Proficiency in
Islamic Finance (Sukuk, AAOIFI standards)
or
Market Microstructure
- is a significant plus.
- **Zero-Error Mindset:**
- A professional obsession with numerical integrity and the ability to spot subtle logic errors in complex datasets.
