Your Role

  • Wind River, An Aptiv Company, is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to join the Wind River Operating System team, working on projects that deliver mission-critical, robust, and deterministic Real-Time Operating Systems for a wide variety of mission-critical applications, including the aerospace and automotive industries.
  • You will join the Helix Virtualization Platform development team, delivering mission-critical Real-Time Operating System technology for avionics and automotive applications.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality design and code.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality documentation used for DO-178 certification evidence.
  • Review DO-178 artifacts and provide guidance to conform to certification standards.
  • Investigate and resolve issues reported during product verification and customer integration.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development process using Agile development.
  • BSc / MSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
  • 5-7 years of relevant technical experience in software development.
  • Strong analytical skills in the C programming language.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent programming skills using Python and Linux shell scripts.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
  • Experience with RTOS software development is a plus.
  • Exceptional team player who works well in collaborative environments.
  • Self-managed, fast learner with the desire and ability to master new technologies.
  • Familiarity with iterative and Agile/Scrum software development processes.
  • Certification experience is a plus.
  • ARM/Intel/RISC-V SoC experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Virtualization is advantageous.

  • Compensation
  • The compensation range for this role is $110,000 to $140,000 CAD plus an annual incentive plan bonus. Compensation is determined based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, abilities, and internal equity.
