- Execute Melter Duties and Maintain Furnace Equipment:
- Perform manual tasks assigned by the supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the EAF/LRF according to production schedules and requirements.
- This includes changing electrodes, preparing and adding materials carbon, Aluminium or ferro alloys manually into the furnace, and maintaining ladle equipment for molten steel transfer.
- Lifting Operations, Rigging, and Slinging:
- Rig and sling materials such as electrodes, furnace parts, and ladles in accordance with safe rigging practices to ensure secure and stable loads during lifting.
- Collaborate with crane operators to accurately and safely move material, pallet and heavy items, ensuring compliance with lifting capacity and safety standards.
- Signalman Duties for Safe Lifting Operations:
- Act as a signalman during lifting and rigging operations to guide crane operators, ensuring proper alignment and safe handling of equipment and materials.
- Use appropriate hand signals, communication devices, and standard procedures to direct lifting operations, ensuring clear and effective communication with the crane
