The melt crew must be able to interact with liquid metal at temperatures exceeding (2800) degrees.
Responsible for maintaining holders / ladles and at times repairs on the furnace including daily patches, repairs and relining the refractory.
Preparing the pouring ladles for daily use; pouring metal into ladles.
Ability to take direction from supervisor; understanding temperatures; molten iron safety; assisting with the cleaning/maintaining furnaces ladles.
Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner.

Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
Must be able to discern imperfections, understand quality of repairs of iron holders / ladles.
Must be able to understand basic addition to tally units per training.
Must be able to learn job duties and locations from verbal instructions.
