Medical Oncologist
About This Role
- Diagnose and stage cancer through comprehensive patient evaluation, including physical exams, reviewing medical history, and ordering diagnostic tests like biopsies and imaging.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, encompassing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormonal therapy, tailored to the specific cancer type and patient needs.
- Prescribe and manage systemic therapies, meticulously monitoring patients for side effects and adjusting treatment protocols to optimize efficacy and minimize toxicity.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care, collaborating with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and other specialists to ensure holistic and integrated patient care.
