Responsibilities
- Assign appropriate codes to diagnoses and procedures for dental services.
- Check documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Work with healthcare providers to clarify information and resolve coding issues.
- Follow coding guidelines and regulations.
- Process insurance claims and communicate with insurance providers.
Requirements and qualifications
- At least two years of medical coding experience for dental services; the posting also specifies two years of medical coding and two years in a dental clinic as required.
- Medical Coding Certificate required.
- English proficiency in both written and spoken communication required.
- Knowledge of medical coding systems and regulations, and familiarity with insurance processes and claims.
