Roles and responsibilities
- Assign diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10 and CPT coding systems in compliance with regulations.
- Review clinical documentation to ensure it supports assigned codes and enhances medical-record integrity.
- Work with healthcare providers to clarify ambiguous documentation and improve coding accuracy.
- Keep up to date with coding guidelines, regulations, and payer requirements to minimize claim denials.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on medical coding experience in a clinical setting is essential.
- Outpatient coding experience of at least 1–2 years is requested in an application question.
- Experience with electronic health record systems and coding software is described as critical.
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- English is required.
- CPC is listed as required under license/certification; CPC or CCS is also described as highly desirable.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 1,500–2,000 per month.
