Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet University insurance requirements
  • Ability to travel throughout Alabama and work occasional evening, weekend, or overnight assignments as clinical needs required
  • Current BLS certification required or ability to obtain certification within the timeframe established by the University
  • Completion of an accredited or recognized Medical Assistant training program preferred
  • Medical Assistant certification or credential preferred
  • Relevant experience in a physician office, ambulatory clinic, community health center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required
  • Experience obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, supporting clinical procedures, and assisting with patient flow required
  • Experience using electronic medical records preferred
