Baptist Health is looking to add a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Primary Care Float Pool in Jacksonville, Florida.

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday opportunity with varying shift schedules based on the needs of the department.

  • The ideal candidate will provide clinical support to physicians by obtaining vital signs, rooming and chaperoning patients, maintaining medical records, scheduling tests and follow-up care, and processing prescriptions and referrals. As part of the Baptist Primary Care Float Pool, the role requires flexibility to work across multiple locations and assist with daily patient-care needs.

Medical Assistant Job Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing assistance to physician
  • Obtains vital signs
  • Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
  • Maintains medical documentation
  • Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
  • Processes prescription requests and referrals

Experience Requirements

  • 2 Years Patient Care Experience
  • Experience in Physician's office

Education & Credential Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Associate of Arts/Science Preferred ​
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
