Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Library & Information Science, Archival Studies, Film Production, Broadcasting, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in media archiving, broadcast operations, post-production, or digital asset management.
  • Experience working with television, film, digital media, or live event production environments.
  • Knowledge of media preservation standards and best practices.
  • Must know Arabic

Technical Requirements

  • Understanding of video, audio, and image file formats, codecs, and resolutions.
  • Familiarity with editing software such as:

◦ Avid Media Composer

  • ◦ DaVinci Resolve
  • Understanding of metadata standards, tagging systems, and search optimization.

Core Responsibilities

  • Catalog and archive all media assets, including:
  • Video footage
  • Audio recordings
  • Graphics packages
  • Photographs
  • Create and maintain metadata standards.
  • Ensure accurate tagging and indexing for quick retrieval.
  • Manage media backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Maintain archive integrity and storage health.
  • Coordinate with producers, editors, directors, and post-production teams to retrieve archived materials.
  • Monitor archive storage capacity and recommend expansion when necessary.
  • Develop archive workflows and documentation procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with copyright, licensing, and content retention policies.

  • Experience archiving:

  • ◦ Entertainment programs
  • ◦ News productions
  • ◦ Sports broadcasts
  • ◦ Concerts and live events
  • ◦ Multi-camera studio productions
  • Familiarity with production workflows from acquisition to delivery.
  • Experience handling raw camera footage, project files, graphics packages, and final masters.
  • Knowledge of broadcast standards
