Mechanical Engineer – Data Centre Projects (Experienced \| Immediate Joiner)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in mission-critical infrastructure, particularly data centre environments.
The role involves supporting the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems to ensure high availability, efficiency, and reliability of critical facilities.
1. Mechanical Systems Design & Execution
- Support design review and validation of HVAC, chilled water systems, and precision cooling solutions for data centre environments
- Ensure mechanical layouts align with Uptime / Tier standards and project specifications
- Review technical drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals
2. Installation & Site Supervision
- Oversee installation of mechanical systems including chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, and ducting systems
- Ensure compliance with approved designs, safety standards, and project timelines
- Coordinate with MEP contractors, consultants, and vendors on-site
3. Commissioning & Testing
- Support testing and commissioning (T&C) activities for mechanical systems
- Participate in integrated systems testing (IST) for data centre environments
- Ensure performance validation of cooling and ventilation systems under load conditions
4. Critical Environment Focus
- Understand redundancy concepts (N+1, 2N) and their application in data centres
- Ensure uptime-critical systems are installed and functioning as per reliability requirements
- Identify and mitigate risks affecting system continuity
5. Coordination & Reporting
- Liaise with electrical, ELV, and civil teams for integrated project execution
- Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and as-built updates
- Support project managers in resolving site issues and technical challenges
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 4–8+ years of mechanical engineering experience (data centre or mission-critical facilities preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, and precision cooling technologies
- Experience in MEP coordination and site execution
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and data centre Tier guidelines is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Immediate joiners preferred

- Data centres, telecom facilities, or high-availability industrial projects
- Commissioning exposure in critical environments
- Working with international contractors or consultants
