Role overview

Engineering and maintenance duties

• Design, develop, install, and maintain mechatronic and automated systems.
• Support projects involving mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control components.
• Install, configure, test, and commission automated machinery and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and control-system issues, diagnose faults, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance; repair, replace, adjust, and calibrate components.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC systems where required; configure sensors, actuators, motors, drives, and controllers.
• Support integration of robotics, conveyors, machine vision, and automated production equipment.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals; perform alignment, calibration, testing, and functional verification.
• Monitor equipment performance, availability, downtime, and production efficiency and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist with automation upgrades, modifications, factory acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, and production ramp-up.
• Inspect equipment and maintain records of maintenance, faults, repairs, spare parts, tests, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and operations teams; support and train operators and technicians.

Education and experience

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in mechatronics, industrial automation, equipment maintenance, manufacturing, or engineering support.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of automated machinery and industrial equipment.

Technical qualifications

• Understand mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• PLC experience with Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Allen-Bradley, or similar platforms is an advantage.
• Know motors, servo drives, variable-frequency drives, sensors, actuators, relays, and control systems.
• Familiarity with industrial robots, conveyors, machine vision, or automated production systems is preferred.
• Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, calibration equipment, and other diagnostic tools.
• Understand maintenance and equipment reliability principles; have troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge is an advantage; HMI, SCADA, industrial networks, and machine-control familiarity is beneficial.
• Understand workplace and industrial equipment safety; bring analytical, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.

Work environment and schedule

• Work may take place in manufacturing plants, workshops, production floors, or industrial environments.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or emergency maintenance support is required when needed.
