Qualification

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• English, Hindi communication adequate for site coordination and reporting.
• Prior Qatar project experience and familiarity with permit-to-work culture.
• Strong exposure to rotary equipment installation and alignment, piping erection and testing support.
• Familiar with RFI process, installation check sheets, and mechanical completion RFI compilation.
• Ability to read and execute works from GA drawings, P&IDs, equipment foundation drawings, and layouts.
• Practical knowledge of site practices: torquing, gasket management, flange alignment, supports, vendor recommendation, vibration considerations, protection/preservation basics.
• Good team handling and coordination capability (multi-discipline interfaces – with Civil and EICA departments).
• Minimum 8-12 years’ experience in industrial mechanical installation works, preferably STP/WWTP, utilities or process plants.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day mechanical installation activities including pumps, blowers, compressors, mixers, gearboxes, valves, tanks, skids, packages, and associated piping.
• Plan and allocate manpower, tools, access equipment, and consumables to achieve daily targets.
• Ensure installation works comply with approved drawings, method statements, ITPs, OEM requirements, and project specifications.
• Lead installation activities: equipment setting-out, leveling, alignment, base frame checks, grouting, coupling alignment, and pre-commissioning readiness.
• Oversee piping installation (SS, HDPE, GRP, UPVC): fit-up, spool erection, gasket/bolt-up control, flange management, pipe support installation, slope/level checks, and interface coordination. Prepare reconciliation of piping materials.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and documentation: WIR/RFI, checklists, torque records, alignment records, pressure / Hydro test, reinstatement, snag list closure.
• Coordinate with HSE to ensure safe execution in line with company systems: PTW compliance, lifting plans, scaffolding/access control, confined space readiness, LOTO support, housekeeping.
• Manage teams and ensure discipline in work fronts, materials control, and progress reporting.
• Provide clear progress updates, constraints, and next-day work plans.
• Support commissioning teams with mechanical completion and resolution of snags/punch points.
