Position overview
The role applies mechanical engineering knowledge while supporting sales and business development for lighting products.
The successful candidate works with sales to understand customer needs, provide technical solutions, and support business growth.
Technical sales and customer support
- Collaborate with sales to understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical training on lighting products.
- Assist with proposals, technical specifications, cost estimates, and responses to technical inquiries.
- Build customer relationships, provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities and help expand the customer base and revenue.
Product development and reporting
- Gather customer feedback to support improvement of existing products and development of new products.
- Work with engineering and design teams to turn customer requirements into specifications and design concepts; contribute to design reviews.
- Track sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends; analyze sales data and report findings and recommended actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; the posting separately states a bachelor’s degree is required.
- Strong knowledge of lighting products, mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and drafting.
- Strong sales, negotiation, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Pay and employment
- Full-time position.
- Pay is AED 2,500 per month.
