Key Responsibilities:
- Assist engineers with the design of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems
- Perform basic engineering calculations under direct supervision, such as:
- o Heating and cooling load calculations
- o Pipe and duct sizing
- o Equipment selection support
- Maintain organized project files, drawings, and documentation
- Follow established quality assurance programs and procedures
Basic Qualifications:
- Enrolled in B.S. Mechanical Engineering program accredited by ABET.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location
- Able to work in a group of engineers and designers to complete technical portions of projects within established budgets and schedules.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- In addition to the Basic Qualifications the ideal candidate might also have:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Self-motivated and team-oriented professional with high personal integrity
- Work Environment:
- This role will be onsite at our Oak Ridge office
- Compensation Details:
- $21/HR - $31/HR
