Role overview
A junior mechanical engineering assistant will support production of generator products using hands-on SolidWorks sheet metal experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models of sheet metal parts in SolidWorks under the engineering team’s guidance.
- Create flat patterns and DXF files for cutting and bending.
- Revise existing drawings using feedback from engineering and production.
- Assist with Bills of Materials and organize drawing files and revision records.
Required qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Fluent Arabic and English are mandatory.
- The role requires 1–2 years of sheet metal drafting or design experience.
- Good working knowledge of SolidWorks, especially the Sheet Metal module, is required.
- Candidates need a basic understanding of cutting, bending, and welding and the ability to read technical drawings.
- Candidates must be based in the UAE and able to work full-time onsite in SAIF Zone, Sharjah.
Preferred qualifications
- SOLIDWORKS Sheet Metal Certification (CSWPA-SM) and AutoCAD experience are nice to have.
- Experience with generators, enclosures, HVAC, electrical panels, or steel fabrication is a nice to have.
