Responsible for process and mechanical engineering design for
power plant BOP systems
, with strong focus on
cooling water systems, desalination, and WTP
, including optimization of technical solutions across bidding and execution stages.
Process & System Design
- Design
- power plant BOP systems
- (CCPP, thermal, desalination, WTP)
- Lead
- circulating cooling water system design
- and hydraulic analysis
- Design
- once-through cooling systems
- :
- Sea water intake systems (open & closed)
- Intake channels and sump (HI standards)
- Circulating water pump sizing
- Pipe sizing calculations
- Develop
- optimized system configurations
- (intake, pump, layout)
Equipment & System Engineering
- Work on:
- Cooling towers
- Condensers
- Prepare and review:
- P&IDs
- System layouts
- Equipment sizing
Advanced Engineering (Preferred)
- CFD analysis for intake systems
- Physical modelling studies
- Simulation of seawater supply and trench systems
Bidding & Proposal Support
- Review tender documents and client specifications
- Perform:
- Technical risk analysis
- Scope definition & terminal points
- Technical clarifications/deviations
- Coordinate with Design Institutes (DI)
- Review:
- RFQs
- Vendor/OEM proposals
- BOQs & performance guarantees
- Support:
- Pre-bid and post-bid clarifications
- Internal bid reviews
- Finalize technical proposals and bidding documentation
Engineering Delivery
- Prepare and review:
- Proposal engineering
- Basic & detailed engineering
- Ensure optimization of process/system design across projects
Stakeholder Management
- Internal: Engineering + Bidding teams
- External:
- Clients
- Design Institutes
• OEMs & Vendors
- EPC partners
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Power/Process Engineering
Experience
- **8+ years**
- in:
- Power plant process/mechanical design
• CCPP / Thermal / SWRO
- **Design Institute or Engineering Consultancy**
Technical Focus
- Cooling water systems (CRITICAL)
- Seawater intake systems
- Hydraulic calculations
- BOP system design
