An engineering consultancy seeks a Mechanical Engineer for mechanical design and construction supervision on building projects.
Job type is full-time; work location is in person.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant engineering consultancy experience.
- Proven mechanical design and construction supervision experience on building projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, and other building MEP systems.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (BIM) and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with UAE building codes, authority requirements, and international design standards.
- Strong technical, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to prepare design calculations, technical reports, shop drawing reviews, material submittal reviews, and site inspection reports.
- UAE driving license is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review mechanical design drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
- Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Conduct site inspections and supervise mechanical works for compliance with contract documents and project specifications.
- Attend project meetings and coordinate with clients, contractors, and authorities.
- Deliver design and supervision services on time while maintaining quality standards.
