Overview
- Design and analyze mechanical systems
- for construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related components, ensuring compliance with project specifications, operational requirements, and industry standards.
- Prepare, review, and optimize engineering calculations, simulations, and CAD-based models
- to evaluate system performance, improve efficiency, and ensure effective mechanical design solutions.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- including architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, consultants, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into the overall construction framework.
- Prepare and submit mechanical shop drawings, material submittals, technical documents, and method statements
- for consultant review and approval.
- Manage consultant comments, design revisions, and approval cycles
- to secure timely consultant approvals and maintain project progress.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities
- (such as Civil Defense, Municipality, utility providers, and other regulatory bodies) to obtain required approvals, permits, inspections, and compliance certifications for mechanical systems.
- Ensure all mechanical works comply with local authority regulations, international standards, and project-specific requirements
- throughout design, execution, and handover phases.
- Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and final inspections
- of mechanical systems to verify performance, safety, quality, and operational reliability.
- Monitor site progress, execution quality, and construction schedules
- to ensure mechanical works are delivered on time, within budget, and according to approved plans.
- Identify technical challenges and develop practical engineering solutions
- based on site conditions, consultant requirements, authority feedback, and project objectives.
