Mechanical Engineer

Role and project

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical engineering proposals and equipment specifications against project requirements.
• Oversee installation and commissioning readiness, checking equipment performance and conformity.
• Assess equipment design, feasibility, operational performance, and proposed modifications.
• Track engineering approvals, field progress, and quality with construction and QA/QC teams.
• Support progress reporting and verification of monthly contractor payment applications.

Qualifications and experience

• More than 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in refineries, large marine terminals, or process plants.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on mechanical equipment experience in oil and gas, terminals, or process facilities.
• Relevant pumping-system, rotating-equipment, and brownfield-integration experience.
• Ability to coordinate design reviews with construction, QA/QC, and commissioning interfaces.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat, and Primavera as applicable to the role.
• UAE-based candidates with relevant experience and early availability are preferred.

Site schedule

• Normal site attendance may involve six days per week, nine-hour daily attendance, and early starts.
• Breaks, working-hour arrangements, and any additional-hours terms will be clarified before appointment.

Compensation
