Mechanical Engineer
Role Overview

Provide owner-side review, coordination, and supervision of mechanical aspects of construction projects.
Provide technical oversight through design, procurement, construction, testing, and handover to ensure compliance with approved documents, project objectives, and contractual requirements.
The role is site-based and works with the design and construction supervision consultant, project managers, contractors, suppliers, and site supervision teams.
Responsibilities
- Review mechanical drawings, calculations, submittals, shop drawings, material approvals, and method statements; recommend design improvements.
- Supervise mechanical installation, including plumbing and fire protection, and resolve technical issues during construction.
- Coordinate mechanical interfaces with civil, architectural, and electrical disciplines.
- Track vendor and subcontractor approvals, material delivery, staged inspections, testing, commissioning, operational readiness, and handover.
- Support quantity verification, progress measurement, and payment certification; verify mechanical QA/QC compliance.
- Coordinate with project parties and support procurement through specification reviews, supplier evaluations, and technical bid assessments.
- Monitor progress and report risks, delays, and technical concerns; prepare technical reports, site observations, punch lists, and updates.
- Ensure mechanical installations meet health, safety, and environmental requirements.
