Job Summary
The M&E Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all costs related to mechanical and electrical works in construction projects, including quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and contract administration, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and in compliance with required specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs for MEP systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting, Electrical, ELV).
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Prepare and evaluate Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Monitor project costs and identify any variations or discrepancies.
- Prepare payment applications and evaluate subcontractor invoices.
- Conduct site visits to verify work progress and executed quantities.
- Manage variation orders, claims, and change requests.
- Support tendering processes and analyze bids.
- Coordinate with project teams and procurement.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
3–7 years of experience in MEP Quantity Surveying or Cost Control.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction practices.
Experience
in BOQ preparation and cost estimation.
Proficiency in MS Office and quantity surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX).
Familiarity with FIDIC contracts is a plus.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
