Position overview
Entry-level technical sales role for a fresh engineering graduate supporting sales and business development of lighting products.
Technical sales and customer support
- Work with sales colleagues to understand customer needs and provide technical solutions.
- Demonstrate products, deliver presentations and technical training, and explain product features and benefits.
- Assist with proposals, technical specifications, and project cost estimates.
- Respond accurately and promptly to technical enquiries.
- Build customer relationships through technical support and service.
- Advise customers, troubleshoot concerns, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities and help grow the customer base and sales revenue.
Product and sales analysis
- Gather customer feedback for existing product improvements and new product development.
- Translate customer needs into product specifications and design concepts with engineering and design teams.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on customer expectations and industry standards.
- Track sales and customer activity using CRM tools or other tracking systems.
- Analyze sales data and market trends, then report findings and recommendations to sales and management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; a bachelor's degree is also explicitly marked as required.
- Strong knowledge of lighting products, design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Sales and negotiation ability, including communicating technical information and building rapport with customers.
- Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and drafting.
- Problem-solving, organization, time management, communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
Employment and pay
- Job type: full-time.
- Pay: AED 2,500 per month.
