Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer-Aided Drafting, Mechanical Design, or a related technical field.; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 6+ years of extensive mechanical design experience, preferably handling large assemblies
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD software and PDM administration (SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, or similar)
- Deep, practical knowledge of diverse manufacturing processes and material properties
- Experience using Finite Element Analysis to improve CAD models
- Familiarized with additive manufacturing (i.e. experience using 3D printers, designing lattices, knowledge of different types of additive manufacturing processes)
- Ability to manage multiple design tasks independently with minimal supervision
