The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising mechanical systems and components for various construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications for HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems
- Use CAD and BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) to prepare layouts and 3D models
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical designs with architectural and structural layouts
- Conduct engineering calculations and simulations to verify design viability and performance
- Review and revise designs based on project requirements, codes, and client feedback
- Ensure all designs comply with local regulations and industry standards
- Coordinate with contractors, and suppliers to support project execution
- Participate in site visits to monitor installation and resolve design-related issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the construction industry
- Proficiency in CAD and BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Previous experience with a consultant
