Key Responsibilities
- Equipment management: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall performance
- of rig equipment, including drilling machinery, engines, generators, pumps, and
- hydraulic systems.
- Maintenance and repair: Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues,
- diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and perform necessary repairs to
- minimize downtime.
- Preventative maintenance: Develop, schedule, and administer preventative
- maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
- Inventory management: Order and manage an adequate supply of parts and
- materials.
- Liaise with store personnel to maintain parts inventory.
- Record keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities,
- repairs, and service history, often using a computerized asset management system.
- Reporting and communication: Provide regular reports to management on the status
- of equipment, machines condition, and maintenance activities.
- Safety and compliance: Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations, internal
- standards, and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent with 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in leadership and team supervision.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to analyze technical problems and work independently
