Position summary

Maintenance and repair duties

• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and communicate shift activities and problems.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, plumbing, electrical equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, appliances, internet devices, and televisions.
• Perform complex repairs in accordance with company standards and local and national codes.
• Use Lockout/Tagout before maintenance and conduct Engineer on Duty readings and rounds.
• Use maintenance and energy management computer programs; train and mentor other engineers as needed.

Required qualifications

• Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification is required.
• Must meet applicable state and federal certification and licensing requirements.
• Demonstrate advanced ability to read standard blueprints and electrical schematics concerning plumbing and HVAC.
• Demonstrate proficiency in at least three listed engineering categories, above-average skills in three more, and basic skills in the remaining categories.
• Demonstrate solid knowledge of safe hand and power tool use and strong general mechanical ability.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and vocational or technical background are preferred.
• Extensive experience and training in maintenance, electrical or refrigeration, inventory, requisition, and surface preparation and painting are preferred.
• At least 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required.
