Role overview

Department standards and stock

• Keep the department clean, organized, properly zoned, and customer-ready.
• Rotate stock regularly and remove expired or unsellable products.
• Ensure merchandise is correctly signed and priced; follow procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.

Food preparation and safety

• Follow food safety and cold-chain practices, including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper handling, stock rotation, and date compliance.
• Take customer orders and prepare meat, cheese, fried chicken, and other deli items.
• Safely use slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, deep fryers, and other tools to prepare food, fill display cases, and complete special orders.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment.

Schedule and physical demands

• Be open to varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
• The role involves prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• The work includes repetitive stocking, zoning, and organizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

• Minimum pay starts at $18.70 per hour.
