Mathematics Teacher

Role overview

Main responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Mathematics lessons in line with the American Curriculum and school requirements.
• Prepare weekly lesson plans, learning resources, and assessments.
• Use teaching strategies suited to students' individual learning needs.
• Monitor, assess, and record academic progress; analyze assessment data and plan interventions.
• Provide additional academic support and maintain effective classroom management.
• Communicate with parents about students' progress and concerns.
• Complete academic records, reports, and submissions on time.
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and school activities; support examinations and supervision.
• Follow school policies, safeguarding requirements, and ADEK regulations.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject and a recognized teaching qualification.
• At least two years of relevant Mathematics teaching experience.
• Experience in an American Curriculum school is preferred; UAE teaching experience is an advantage.
• Must meet ADEK eligibility and approval requirements.
• Requires strong subject knowledge, classroom-management skills, and good written and spoken English.
• Requires effective use of educational technology and strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
