Role summary
Administer, coordinate, and process engineering change orders.
Procure and plan materials for engineering changes in line with MRP effective-date requirements.
Monitor and track items and forecast using Epicor data, physical cycle counts, supplier data, and other sources.
Essential duties
- Review manufacturing-site impacts of engineering changes and inform affected departments through email and spreadsheet reports.
- Process and coordinate engineering changes; track engineering change notices and report status to related departments.
- Track first articles and maintain accurate part attributes, engineering and job BOMs, new-part implementation, and part revisions.
- Coordinate materials, purchasing, production, and engineering around planned Epicor effectivity dates.
- Expedite and reschedule open purchase orders to support production planning.
- Maintain engineering change management reports using Excel, Epicor, Access, PDM, and other business tools.
- Complete pilot testing for ERP system improvements and changes.
- Read multilevel Bills of Material. Other duties may be assigned.
Education and experience
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two years of experience in planning, procurement, inventory control, engineering support, or manufacturing administration.
- Knowledge and aptitude for manufacturing, engineering, and inventory management principles.
- MRP/ERP system experience required.
- Manufacturing-environment experience preferred.
- Experience with engineering change processes, BOM maintenance, or product data management preferred.
