The Material Handling Equipment Operator moves, stacks, loads, and unloads goods across a warehouse or distribution center.
The role supports accurate inventory movement and storage and helps keep materials available for outbound and internal processes.
Operators handle heavy loads and fragile or valuable stock carefully and follow supervisors' movement priorities.
Responsibilities
- Operate assigned MHE, such as VNA equipment, reach trucks, or pallet jacks, to transport materials safely.
- Pick, stack, load, and unload goods; support put-away and replenishment using system-generated tasks.
- Conduct daily safety checks, report equipment faults, follow safety protocols, and wear required PPE.
- Maintain movement documentation and enter data using RF scanners or WMS.
- Keep storage areas and aisles clean and organized; assist with physical inventory and cycle counts.
- Coordinate priorities with supervisors and comply with company SOPs and warehouse operating guidelines.
Education and experience
- Secondary school certificate or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of warehouse operations experience with certified MHE operation.
