Master Data Specialist | Data Management Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage, create, update, validate, and maintain master records across systems using established standards and procedures.
• Support customer, supplier, product, material, employee, financial, and other data domains; review data requests and record changes.
• Cleanse, standardize, enrich, deduplicate, and investigate inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, duplicated, or outdated data.
• Set data-quality rules, validation checks, monitoring, metrics, and reports; investigate root causes and coordinate corrective action.
• Maintain data dictionaries, definitions, metadata, reference data, procedures, workflows, controls, and governance documentation.
• Work with business users, IT, and application teams on requirements, issues, system configuration, integration, and changes.
• Support ERP, CRM, supply-chain, finance, procurement, and other enterprise systems; coordinate data across systems and units.
• Support migration, implementation, consolidation, and transformation projects; map and reconcile data and assess change impact.
• Develop reports and dashboards, automate repetitive tasks, improve processes, and establish approvals for critical changes.
• Track requests against service levels, support audits, train business users, protect confidential information, and contribute to governance improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, Business Analytics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in master data management, data analysis, data quality, data governance, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of master data, data lifecycles, data quality, and governance; experience with structured data across ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems.
• Strong validation, cleansing, standardization, reconciliation, and duplicate or error resolution skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large datasets.
• Ability to investigate complex issues and document definitions, business rules, workflows, and procedures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, detail, communication, and stakeholder-management skills; able to collaborate across business and IT teams.
• Understanding of privacy, access controls, confidentiality, and information-security principles.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple requests and projects.
• SQL, visualization tools, ERP platforms, CRM structures, migration, integration, implementation, and data-quality tools are listed as advantageous, preferred, or beneficial.
• Relevant data-management, governance, analytics, or related certifications are beneficial.
