Position details

Guest treatments and service

• Provide massage services using accessories and products, as well as body scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy treatments.
• Assess guest needs and check for contraindications such as allergies, high blood pressure, or pregnancy before treatment.
• Stay current with techniques and modalities relevant to the role and maintain required skills and licenses.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms; prepare the workstation, treatment room, and linens.
• Check in with guests to support their comfort and safety during services.
• Promote and sell spa and salon services, including related retail products.

Treatment room and safety

• Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools; keep the workstation and treatment room clean and dispose of waste and used linens.
• Secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift and follow the day's schedule.
• Address inappropriate guest behavior under company procedures, including stopping a service and informing a supervisor or manager when appropriate.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and certifications.

Standards and physical duties

• Follow company policies, maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect company information and property, and welcome and serve guests according to company standards.
• Communicate clearly and courteously and maintain positive working relationships.
• The role involves extended periods standing, sitting, or walking; handling objects with fine motor control; and moving items under 10 pounds without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Required qualification

• A state or regional massage license is required.
• Maintain current skills and licensing in the service area according to regional requirements.

Recommended qualifications

• A diploma from a technical, trade, or vocational school is recommended.
• At least one year of related work experience is recommended.
• No supervisory experience is required.
