Role overview

Guest treatments and service

• Provide massage services using props or products and body treatments such as scrubs, wraps, or hydrotherapy.
• Assess guest needs and ask about contraindications, including allergies, high blood pressure, and pregnancy, before treatment.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms, prepare the treatment area, and check guest comfort and safety during service.
• Promote and sell spa services and related retail offerings.
• Keep to the daily schedule and follow procedures for inappropriate guest behavior, including stopping service and informing a supervisor when needed.

Workstation and safety

• Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools; maintain treatment-room cleanliness and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.
• Perform required physical activities, including extended standing, sitting, or walking and handling objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Required qualification

• A state or regional massage license is required.
• Maintain current skills and licensure in the service area as required by regional requirements.

Preferred qualifications

• At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is specified.
