Mason (Fit-Out Projects)

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Carry out masonry and finishing works for interior fit-out projects, including internal blockwork, wall modifications, plastering, and surface finishing.
• Execute floor screeding, leveling, and substrate preparation for flooring finishes.
• Prepare surfaces for tiling, painting, waterproofing, and other interior finishing work; complete minor repairs, patching, and cement-based finishes.
• Measure, align, level, and finish work in accordance with approved drawings.
• Coordinate with tilers, carpenters, gypsum installers, painters, and other trades.
• Maintain workmanship standards, rectify defects or snags, use materials efficiently, and minimize waste.
• Follow site safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Complete assigned work within project schedules and report progress to the site supervisor or foreman.

Requirements

• At least three years of hands-on interior fit-out masonry experience; UAE experience is preferred.
• Proven plastering, internal blockwork, floor screeding, and interior finishing experience.
• Experience on commercial office, retail, hospitality, and residential fit-out projects.
• Ability to understand basic fit-out drawings, measurements, and site instructions; knowledge of masonry materials, tools, leveling, and finishing techniques.
• Attention to detail, quality focus, ability to coordinate with other trades, work independently, and meet tight deadlines.
• Physical fitness and willingness to work across project sites in the UAE.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with an established UAE interior fit-out company or with fast-track fit-out, renovation, or refurbishment projects is preferred.
• Additional tile-fixing or waterproofing-preparation skills are preferred.

Work location

• Dubai, UAE interior fit-out project sites; work is in person.
