Marketing & Events Coordinator

Position overview

Marketing and platform promotion

• Develop and execute marketing strategies for shared offices, meeting rooms, event spaces, and business-incubation programs.
• Promote platform programs, resources, workspace options, networking, education, and business-support services; attract applicants, members, mentors, partners, sponsors, and stakeholders.
• Manage social media planning, content creation, scheduling, publishing, community engagement, and performance monitoring.
• Develop campaigns that generate brand awareness, inquiries, tours, bookings, tenant leads, applications, and business opportunities.
• Manage digital marketing, website content, email campaigns, online listings, and other channels; maintain consistent brand voice and visual identity.
• Produce promotional content, presentations, advertisements, brochures, event-space packages, and platform information packages.

Events, partnerships, and measurement

• Build relationships with businesses, startups, entrepreneurs, professional organizations, event planners, community groups, educational institutions, media, investors, and corporate partners.
• Plan and promote open houses, networking activities, startup events, workshops, information sessions, tenant-engagement programs, and other initiatives.
• Coordinate photography, video, signage, social media assets, and other marketing content.
• Manage budgets, schedules, content calendars, and vendors; maintain lead and customer information and support timely inquiry follow-up.
• Track engagement, lead sources, conversions, occupancy, bookings, applications, and other business results; conduct market, audience, and competitor research.
• Coordinate with operations to align marketing commitments with available spaces, programs, services, priorities, and capacity; monitor trends and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

• At least five years of marketing experience; relevant commercial real estate, coworking, hospitality, event venue, B2B, startup, incubator, accelerator, or corporate marketing experience is preferred.
• Integrated marketing and lead-generation campaign experience, social media account management, and content creation for business or professional audiences are required.
• Knowledge of digital marketing, social media, content development, email marketing, website management, and campaign analytics is required.
• Strong writing, presentation, communication, relationship-management, branding, audience-development, and organizational skills are required.
• Incubation or startup-program promotion experience is strongly preferred; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Relationship-building experience with startups, investors, educational institutions, business communities, or corporate partners and experience with relevant marketing platforms are assets.

Work arrangement

• Work location is in person in Markham, Ontario.

• Compensation is negotiable based on experience and qualifications; benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
